Virtual tour and VR

360° virtual tours of buildings, facilities and construction sites, measurable panoramas and BIM model presentations in virtual reality.

Virtual tour and VR

A virtual tour is an interactive presentation of a property made from 360° panoramic images: users move from room to room in a browser or on a mobile device, look around and zoom in where needed. When panoramas are captured with a laser scanner and linked to the point cloud, distances, heights and areas can be measured directly in the tour.

The service is used to document progress on construction sites, record concealed services before walls are closed, carry out remote handover inspections, inventory equipment at industrial plants, and present real estate, hotels and museums.

VR (virtual reality) makes it possible to show a building that has not yet been built: the BIM model is presented at full scale in a VR headset, and clients and investors can walk inside and evaluate layout and design decisions before construction. By combining a scan of an existing building with a new design, the outcome of a refurbishment can also be visualised.

Panoramas are captured with high-resolution cameras and laser scanners, georeferenced and delivered with floor-plan navigation. With periodic captures, images from different dates can be compared side by side.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I take measurements in a virtual tour?

Yes, in a tour captured with a laser scanner and linked to the point cloud, distances, heights and areas are measured directly. In an ordinary 360° camera tour measurements are only approximate.

Is special equipment needed for VR?

A VR headset is recommended for the full experience, but the model can also be shown in 3D on a regular computer or tablet.

How long does it take?

Capturing a medium-sized property takes a few hours, and the tour is ready in one to three working days. VR presentation time depends on the state of the model.

What does the price depend on?

On the number of capture points, whether measurement is required, VR requirements and repeat captures. Use the calculator on our website or call us for an estimate.
