Topographic plan 1:1000
Topographic plans at 1:1000 for city blocks, industrial sites, farms and large facilities: 1 cm = 10 m with 0.5–1 m contour intervals.
Licensed service · EL-845/2026
On a 1:1000 topographic plan one centimetre represents ten metres on the ground. This scale strikes a practical balance between detail and coverage: buildings, roads, fences and main utilities are shown accurately, while the smallest elements seen at 1:500, such as individual steps, small shrubs or the thickness of thin fences, are generalised.
Clients usually order 1:1000 plans for sites of a few hectares up to several tens of hectares: urban block redevelopment, industrial and warehouse complexes, logistics hubs, farms and greenhouses, school and hospital campuses. Master plans of industrial enterprises, internal roads, yards and site-wide networks are typically designed on a 1:1000 base.
Relief is shown with a 0.5 m contour interval, or 1 m on sloping and hilly terrain. Standards allow a mean position error of 0.5 mm at plan scale for well-defined features, about 50 cm on the ground, and a relief error on flat terrain of no more than a quarter of the contour interval. In practice, points measured with GNSS RTK are far more accurate than that.
On large open sites we can combine GNSS RTK with drone photogrammetry to speed up the work, while ground control points are still measured with survey-grade instruments.
