Handheld SLAM scanning
Fast 3D scanning on the move with a mobile SLAM scanner: an efficient solution for corridors, basements, tunnels, forests and large sites.

SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology allows a scanner to determine its own position while moving and to measure its surroundings continuously. The operator simply walks through the site with a handheld scanner, and the device collects hundreds of thousands of points per second, building a 3D point cloud in real time.
The method is several times faster than static scanning and is especially efficient for long corridors, interiors of multi-storey buildings, basements, stairwells, utility tunnels, mines, forested areas and large open sites. It also works in tight spaces where a tripod cannot be set up.
The relative accuracy of SLAM scanning is typically 1–3 cm, sometimes better depending on conditions and the walking route. For projects requiring higher accuracy the SLAM data is tied to control points measured by GNSS RTK or total station and, where needed, combined with static scans. This combination delivers both speed and precision.
Deliverables include plans, sections, volume calculations, a base for topographic plans and a point cloud for BIM modelling.
