Control surveys for boundary disputes
Objective measurement of the actual situation in a boundary dispute, comparison with documented coordinates and encroachments shown on a scheme.

Boundary disputes between neighbours often arise because a fence was built in the wrong place, a building crosses the line or old documents are inaccurate. In such cases the numbers, not emotions, should do the talking. Control surveys record the actual situation objectively and compare it with the coordinates in both parties' documents.
Our surveyors measure fences, walls, building corners, roof overhangs and any surviving boundary marks along the disputed line using GNSS RTK and an electronic total station. The documented coordinates of both plots are brought into one system, and distances between the actual lines and the documented boundary are calculated to centimetre accuracy.
The result is a scheme with encroachment or gap areas shown in colour, a table of measurements and a description of the method. We provide an impartial technical survey; resolving the dispute, giving a legal assessment and formally changing the boundary are matters for the competent authority or the court. Our materials can be presented in those proceedings as technical information.
