Engineering geological surveys reveal the geological structure of a site, the physical and mechanical properties of soil layers, groundwater conditions and hazardous geological processes. Without this data the type, depth and design of a foundation cannot be justified, and a wrong choice leads to cracks, uneven settlement and costly strengthening works.
Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are known for difficult ground conditions: high seismicity, saline and collapsible soils, shallow groundwater in many districts and landslide risk on slopes. Topoqraf AZ performs drilling, cone penetration and plate load testing and laboratory analysis as one package for any project, from a private house to a high-rise building, road or pipeline in Baku, Azerbaijan.
All work is carried out under licence No. EL-845/2026 issued by the Ministry of Economy and follows the applicable building codes (AzDTN/SNiP). Geological investigations can be ordered together with topographic surveying and other land surveying services.
