Level checking and adjustment
Checking and adjusting the i-angle, compensator and circular bubble of optical, automatic and digital levels, with an inspection report.

A level is the core instrument for height transfer, settlement monitoring and checking floor and foundation elevations. Engineering levels achieve ±1.5–2 mm per km of double-run levelling, while precise digital levels reach ±0.3–0.7 mm. Yet a small angle between the line of sight and the horizontal — the i-angle — introduces a systematic error at every set-up where sight lengths are unequal, and it accumulates along the line.
We determine the i-angle with a two-station method (for example the Kukkamäki or Förstner layout), test the compensator working range and settling time, and adjust the circular bubble and reticle. On digital levels the internal calibration routine is run and bar-code reading and distance measurement are verified. Tripods, staffs and staff bubbles are checked too, because they affect results as much as the level itself.
SOUTH levels are serviced under official warranty, and Leica, Topcon, Sokkia, Nikon and other brands are accepted as regular jobs in Baku. Results are delivered in an inspection report showing the i-angle before and after adjustment.
