Setting-out works
Accurate marking of building axes, piles, boundary points, road alignments and utility routes on site from design coordinates using GNSS RTK and total stations.
Licensed service · EL-845/2026
Setting-out is the reverse of a topographic survey: instead of measuring what exists and drawing it on a plan, we take points and lines from the design, find them on the ground by their coordinates and fix them with markers. Excavating foundations, driving piles, building fences, roads and pipelines all start from these marks.
Topoqraf AZ carries out setting-out in Baku and all regions of Azerbaijan under licence EL-845/2026. We use SOUTH GNSS RTK receivers (±1–2 cm in plan) and total stations (1"–2"): building axes that need the highest accuracy are set out by total station, while long routes are staked with GNSS.
After each setting-out the marks are verified by check measurements and handed over to the client with a setting-out certificate.
