Photogrammetric 3D model

Textured 3D models, point clouds and digital surface models of buildings, sites and engineering structures from drone imagery. Measurable and georeferenced.

Photogrammetric 3D model

A photogrammetric 3D model is a textured three-dimensional representation built automatically from hundreds of images taken from different angles. Distances, heights, areas and volumes can be measured on it, and sections can be taken anywhere. The method is used to create digital replicas of building facades and roofs, historic monuments, industrial sites, quarries and entire neighbourhoods.

To capture facade and roof details fully, nadir flights are complemented by oblique imagery and orbital flights around the object. Ground control points are measured with GNSS RTK or a total station, so the model has correct scale and coordinates. Where needed, drone data is combined with terrestrial laser scanning: the drone covers roofs and upper parts, while the scanner captures lower floors and interiors.

Deliverables include a textured mesh (OBJ, FBX, 3D Tiles), a coloured point cloud (LAS, E57) and a digital surface model. The model can be used in architectural and restoration projects, BIM modelling, urban planning analysis, investor presentations and as an archive record of the condition of the object. A web version for viewing in a browser can also be prepared.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is a 3D model?

With ground control the model is typically accurate to a few centimetres. Where higher accuracy is required, combining it with terrestrial laser scanning is recommended.

Which software can open the model?

The mesh opens in 3ds Max, Blender, SketchUp, Revit and similar software, while the point cloud opens in Recap, Civil 3D, CloudCompare and others.

What does the price depend on?

On the size and complexity of the object, the level of detail and the formats required. Call us for details.
