Topoqraf.az MMC Conducts “Modern Geodetic Equipment” Seminar at ASOIU and UFAZ

On November 23, 2025, Topoqraf.az MMC conducted a seminar titled “Modern Geodetic Equipment” for students of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (ASOIU) and UFAZ. The purpose of the event was to introduce future engineers to advanced geodetic technologies, topographic surveying methods, and 3D scanning systems.

During the seminar, participants were presented with GNSS RTK solutions, robotic and manual total stations, drone-based mapping technologies, and high-precision 3D laser scanners. The session covered the operating principles of modern surveying instruments, field measurement techniques, preparation of topographic plans, and real-world examples of using these technologies in engineering projects.

A special focus was placed on the Leica RTC360 laser scanner, its role in BIM modeling, and the processing of point cloud data. Students received practical guidance on optimizing field-to-office workflows, applying coordinate systems correctly, and ensuring high accuracy in construction geodesy.

Representatives of Topoqraf.az MMC answered students’ questions and shared practical insights into using modern geodetic technologies in real projects. The seminar contributed significantly to the professional development of young engineers and enhanced their understanding of contemporary surveying methods.
