Water well drilling
Water well drilling based on a hydrogeological assessment: casing and screen installation, well development, pumping test and water analysis.

A water well is an independent water source for a private house, a country home, a farm or a business, but its success depends on the preparation before drilling. On Absheron and in the dry regions of Azerbaijan the depth, yield and mineralisation of groundwater can vary considerably even between neighbouring plots. A well drilled without a hydrogeological basis either yields little water or produces saline water.
The work therefore starts with an analysis of the geological and hydrogeological data for the area and information on nearby wells, with geophysical sounding where needed. The well site is chosen taking sanitary requirements, buildings and utilities into account, and the design depth and construction are matched to the expected aquifer.
During drilling the rocks passed through are logged; once the aquifer is reached, casing and a screen are installed, a gravel pack is placed around the screen and the upper part is sealed to keep surface water out. The well is then developed until clean water flows, and a pumping test measures its yield and drawdown.
A water sample is sent to the laboratory for physical and chemical analysis, and the results are entered in the well passport. Permits required by law for using the well are obtained by the client; we prepare the technical data needed for them.
